Olle Bærtling, the Swedish modern classic, known for his strong triangular shapes and vivid colours, actually began as a currency dealer. He had no formal training in the world of art.

Take a look at his body of work; So simple and at the same time so rich, the compositions feels like they are set in stone… And the colours! The superb publishing house Steidl released some years ago a fine book on Bærtling.
