A nice little update from fan’s favourite Siggi Eggertsson. He’s also divided his site up into handy little nuggets so you can find what you’re looking for straight away. The only difficulty now is tearing yourself away from the screen. But before you do get a little glimpse into Siggi’s mind by reading our little catch up with him.

Hey Siggi – nice update, can you tell us a little bit about what you’ve added?

I hadn’t updated the site for a while, it was always such a pain in ass, I used to do it all in html by hand, so it was also quite time consuming, but now I finally have some system behind it so I can quite easily upload new projects. The stuff I just put up there is from 2009 and 10, editorials, typefaces, personal projects and some animations I’ve been working on.

If you could only look at one of your projects ever again, which one would it be?

I think I have to say my patchwork quilt (which is by the way is being shown at Pick Me Up) that I did as my graduation project from school. So much time and effort went into this thing, and the outcome is better than I had ever hoped for. Plus it could keep me warm.

Your ‘Spinning’ piece is a really nice addition to the site, are you planning any more animation work?

I’ve always been put off by animation, so much work for so little. But that was just me being ignorant I think, I’ve realized that there are many different ways of producing animation and I have been doing some tests recently, it’s fun.

What jobs have you got on at the moment?

I’m working on a new piece for an exhibition called The Art of Conversation, writing down stuff for my upcoming lecture at Visuelt in Oslo and mainly focusing on my personal projects.
