When I discovered the work of children’s book creator Frank Asch, it was a little strange. I realized that I have been channeling his work, without ever seeing it. His book Gia and the One Hundred Dollars worth of Bubblegum is a tripped-out journey of a girl who buys a bunch of gum. Crammed with amazing lettering, adorable characters, and tons of tiny drawings in every square inch, it’s a real feast for the eyes.
