I had the great fortune of spending last week in Manchester for the AND Festival. The festival ventured into Manchester for a hybrid undertaking of cinema, performance and media art with artists Gillian Wearing premiering her new feature film Self Made and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer asked the public to question the systemic application of biometrics with his interactive installations. There are also excellent exhibitions at the Cube and the Freemasons Hall with SHRINK Performances by Lawrence Malstaf. For me the work was all pulled together brilliantly by a series of debates and salons leaving everyone with a whole new set of questions?
