Here is our chance to see what we never thought we’d see: the first view of Earth from the Moon; a Galileo probe (illustrated, as if on fire); a boulder, in space. Offering invaluable insight, Nasa have delved deep into their archives and now provide (through Flickr) a “comprehensive online compilation of (the agency’s) vast collection of photographs, historic film and video.”

We tried to get an interview with Nasa but they’re busy, so above is a small collection of images taken from the archive. Apparently, it will grow and grow. MIGHTY SPACE SHUTTLES!
