What makes us more us than the place we come from? Our means of earning a living? And our day-today routines? Very little you may argue. So, when we saw 24 year-old Italian portrait photographer Piero Martinello’s project, A Life’s Work, which showcases traditional craftsmen from North Eastern Italy, championing the battle scars naturally collected through a lifetime’s worth of hard-graft we felt obliged to share it.
