We asked Dane Lovett, the artist in charge of this week’s guest posts, to introduce himself. Here’s what he said: “I was born in Sydney in 1984. I grew up on the Gold Coast in Queensland and now live in Melbourne. I completed my BFA with honours at the Victorian College of art in 2007. I make paintings of a various things – lately I have been looking at a lot of traditional still-life painting and making my own arrangements out of not-so-classical objects like outdated pieces of technology, cds, tapes, musical equipment and indoor plants. I live and work in a warehouse space in Northcote, Melbourne, with my girlfriend and dog.” ACE!
