I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by great music at the moment – a recent example is the debut album by husband and wife Vito and Monique Aiuto otherwise known as Welcome Wagon. Welcome to the Welcome Wagon is an intimate mix of shuffling pop reworkings of hymns, a handful of covers and original tracks from the Sufjan Stevens’ School of 12,000 Instruments (coincidentally Stevens both plays on and produces the record). It’s fantastic – simultaneously wintry and warm, and some handsomely twee artwork to boot.
