Recent University of the West of England graduate Chris Clarke was a winner of the Don’t Panic poster competition. This time judged by Jonathan Barnbrook the poster was printed in an edition of 80,000 and distributed across UK and Europe.

‘I have made my choice from the top 20 posters; it was easy actually because the winner really stood out. It had a strong, clear, intelligent idea, expressed in a way that was absolutely appropriate to the subject matter.

Many of the others fell down because although they were very well styled they didn’t have much original thought or even much of an idea behind them. This one paraphrases a t-shirt from popular culture and puts it in a completely different context. In doing so it reveals how we are all complicit in the way media acts.’
