Today sees the highly-anticipated release of James Blake’s self-titled debut album, and even if you try I don’t think you’re going to be able to escape it this week. Luckily though, it’s a gem of a record and the video for the release single The Wilhelm Scream is an affecting piece of film by Davey Inc. director Alexander Brown. I wish I could conclusively tell you how exactly the effect was achieved, but for the purists out there, let’s just hope it was filmed in a big cloud of smoke, with no tricks in sight.
