Spanish designer Ana Mirats' lookbooks are understated and beautifully shot

With her understated, cool approach, it’s clear that lookbooks for funky luxury brands are Spanish designer Ana Mirats’ niche. But it’s this AW14/15 catalogue for Italian brand Kocca that caught our eye with its summery pastels and playful typography.

There’s real skill in creating catalogues that both show the collection in a way that makes the clothes visible but are aesthetically exciting for the viewer. Ana’s achieved this beautifully by avoiding littering each page with stills from the collection. Our eyes dance across the book from beautiful models to large, sparsely-spaced lettering, to quotes printed in the middle of the page. The colours are wonderful and add to the visual joy with zesty greens and yellows colliding to create abstract brush strokes all set against creamy pinks and greys.
