Stuff your face full of Ania Wawrzkowicz's sumptuous food photography

You may have noticed that the weather’s taken a bit of a turn recently. Cold, crisp mornings have been replaced with drizzly misery, and the overcast grey skies we’re being treated to each day make it hard to stay cheerful. At times like this we like to console ourselves with large quantities of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It doesn’t matter what’s on the menu as long as it’s hot and there’s loads of it.

Sadly our microwaveable lunchtime feasts don’t look anything like Ania Wawrzkowicz’s sumptuous food photography. Her delicious compositions are an aspirational look at what we could be eating daily had we the time or the culinary expertise. Shot from above, her richly-coloured table scenes render the depicted dishes instantly desirable. I don’t even know what half of them are but my god do I want them in my belly – and photographs that make you salivate aren’t all that easy to come by.

Aside from culinary imagery, Ania’s fond of shooting interiors and still life’s with the same attention to detail and eye for colour. In fact, her portfolio is of such high quality we’d encourage you to head on over there and spend some real time with the work of one seriously talented photographer.
