Ara Peterson

Date

Occasionally (but all too rarely) we’ll stumble across an artist who has the capacity to perfectly depict movement, and dynamism, and mind-boggling hallucination. This rarity only makes Boston-based sculptor Ara Peterson – who plays mischievously with layers, geometric form and space – more special. His sculptures, revealed here in a slideshow, are Riley-esque in colour and content and, like all Op Art, are capable of almost making you very, very sick.

(It’s important to note that Peterson’s website is a stress-inducing artwork in itself, and should perhaps be avoided. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Seriously.)
