Faceless characters, glitches and casual leans in designer Arnau Pi’s cover art

Date
14 December 2015

Barcelona-based designer Arnau Pi’s work is visually varied, with his aesthetic and tone shifting according to the application. His use of strange faceless characters, cartoon-like portraits of Joan of Arc, glitchy heads made of stone and digital drawings are entertaining and packed with references to by-gone works, times and places. His clear, nicely off-kilter typography is employed throughout his work, stylistically tying it together in a way that leaves ample room for Arnau to experiment.

We first wrote about his work back in January, since then, on top of being a full-timer at Vasava Artworks he has continued working on posters and record covers with labels such as Young Turks, Disco Paradiso and Permanent Vacation amongst others.
