Five notes on the brilliant confusion created by Benjamin Critton: 1) He either studies at, or recently graduated from, the Yale School of Art. 2) His website is frustratingly unintelligible, at least initially. It then becomes somehow manageable, and exploration is rewarded. 3) He designed Raisonne, a typeface available at Colophon in which his site is set. 4) I do not truly understand the link “–L.R.B. et al,” but have decided to embrace not knowing. And besides, 5) Who really knows what’s going on anyway, really?
