In Chelsea Hopper’s photographic series Dead Tired, the connotations are as a immediate as they are poetic. The elderly sun-bathers pictured on the idyllic swathes of Perth coastline evoke the “quaint illusion of death” as they bake them selves into a hedonistic irreverence, smelling like coconuts. Strange and lovely.
