French studio Chevalvert's appealing posters for a transatlantic sailboat race

You wade into Chevalvert’s portfolio rubbing your hands across your eyes, unsure of what you’ve stumbled across. The Paris-based studio was founded in 2007 by Patrick Paleta and Stéphane Buellet and describes itself as being based on an “open, multidisciplinary approach,” which might go some way to explaining why it feels like a cave laden with treasures. So many treasures.

In fact, there is such a wealth of strong and extensive design projects on its site that we struggled to choose which one to write about, so how about this series of posters for sports media group Ag2r World, featuring Studio Dumbar’s extensive and impressive identity design. Studio Dumnar employed a translucent grid system overlaid with photographs and flag-like shapes sails for this campaign for the trans-Atlantic sailing race; a global language, and one which is too colourful not to look at. It begs to be shared in poster format, and Chevalvert have done an admirable job of translating it for the purpose, in just one of so many ace projects on their books.
