Graphic Design: Christina Magnussen's portfolio is bright and beautiful

Date

Beautiful colours are the order of the day when perusing Christina Magnussen’s fantastic portfolio. Based in Oslo, Christina’s illustration and graphic design agency Gala is a wonderful mix of books, logos, editorial illustrations, posters and magazine work, all of which have a kaleidoscopic freshness about them.

Her cover design for Norwegian magazine KOTE, an independent publication about landscape, urbanism and local development, is my favourite project of hers because of the simple combination of pastel hues interspersed with geometric black lines. It’s so clean and interesting, it immediately makes me want to look inside the publication.

The rest of Christina’s portfolio is a fun, vibrant and welcome distraction, so if you’re finding hump day particularly difficult today then I urge you to take a look.
