Illustration: Come and meet the breathtakingly talented Connor Willumsen

Date
3 December 2013

Connor Willumsen has a pretty great setup as far as his working life goes. The Canadian comics artist made a name for himself on the alternative comics scene, producing an array of titles that he wrote and drew himself before being picked up by comic book monoliths like Marvel and DC. You’d think at this point he’d forget the stranger side of his work, but he’s still publishing off-beat comics with small European publishers like Breakdown Press and taking on commercial illustration jobs for the likes of Bloomberg View and GQ – you won’t find him at Marvel anymore though. In among his prolific commercial work Connor still finds time to head down to life drawing classes, the extraordinary fruits of which can be seen on his blog. I am sick with envy for this guy.
