Dale Edwin Murray’s editorial illustrations are vibrant yet refined

Date

Editorial illustrator Dale Edwin Murray’s style is clean, vibrant and sharp. Having created work for clients including BBC, Wired, Observer Magazine, Waitrose Weekend and The Times, Dale’s no nonsense, refined approach means his work is prime illustrative meat for magazines.

The colours are wonderfully deep and his images have a robust nature about them from the block-like figures that inhabit his imagined scenes. While this style isn’t groundbreaking, it’s always superbly executed and perfectly fit for brief. His illustrations fill the purpose of offering insight and intrigue to the words that sit alongside them and if his growing portfolio is anything to go by, he’s doing a pretty good job of it.
