Dan Bradica takes a heap of paper back to the woods, with strangely beautiful results
There are just some things that can’t be done in an artist’s studio, and not surprisingly, wrapping enormous sheets of paper around trees is one of them. Dan Bradica has done just that, and upon taking piles and piles of paper to the nearest woodland area he has managed to create an absolutely incredible series of images that completely knock you off guard.
Piling up cardboard boxes is something we encounter often on the streets of a city, but when it’s done in a forest clearning there’s something almost ghostly about it, and a feeling that they definitely, definitely do not belong there. It’s strange to see a material that we see so much of indoors look strangely alien when placed out of context. Funny, then, when you realise that this is where paper started in the first place,
