Conceptual yet functional typographic design from Sheffield's Daniel Reed

Date
12 April 2016

Daniel Reed’s work first caught our eye last year with a beautiful series of Bauhaus-inspired posters for Stephen King novels. Since this self-initiated project he’s certainly been busy, and has shown an aptitude for innovative typographic design. Taking a conceptual approach, his all-caps IVORY face uses a height and width inspired by musical intervals, making for a blocky, modern-looking set of characters.

His Incido face was created using similarly tight creative constraints, and is formed entirely of straight lines. Presented on his site in a simple, legible way, Daniel’s work has proven itself to be effective and well-executed across commercial graphic design touchpoints as well as more playful, personal projects.
