Opening tomorrow at Galerie Vu is Act, a photography exhibition from Denis Darzacq (we last featured his astounding supermarket levitations series Hyper) and with it a promise to subvert our expectations once again. With themes of identity and disability, Denis pushes his own fear of differences in himself as well as in other people. Characters are abstracted from a physical habitat, or comfort zone, where they perform new gestures and reaffirm an image of themselves as they would like to be seen. Showing until January 7, 2012.
