Katrín Ólina is a graphic artist and illustrator whose fields of application include industrial design, fashion, interiors, print and animation. Iceland-born Olina studied in Paris, worked in the studio of Phillip Stark and has exhibited globally. Her work employs new technologies and multi-various materials and the imagery itself uses elemental visual references from organic and man-made motifs. The application is an experience in itself as it poses bewildering dimensional planes onto 2D surfaces, enveloping whole interiors or making the act of walking on a carpet (pictured, as seen at DesignMarch) like being made a part of the graphic.
