2011 was a belting year for the RCA’s animation alumni, with all three BAFTA nominations in the short animation category going to 2010 graduates. Matthias Hoegg, Dave Prosser and It’s Nice That pal Mikey Please all produced stunning films that showcased both admirable technical abilities and a real knack for storytelling. Not wishing to be outdone, current student Eamonn O’Neill’s trailer for I’m Fine Thanks looks set to maintain the high standard set by his predecessors, and with another year until he graduates, he’s still got time to raise the bar. Go on my son!
