Hate to be the bearer of bad news guys but films ain’t made like they used to be. I like to imagine that films are produced how they were in the 1960s, with movie stars being shipped out to Geneva, pet dogs and all, to spend a few weeks chilling on a sun-dappled set and sipping martinis in between takes. Turns out times have changed and now almost every single thing in a film is made on a computer.

This kind of information would normally be quite upsetting, but when you see the level of hard work and detail that goes into transforming these shots you kind of let it slide. Watch this video and you’ll see what I mean. It’s all done by the brainiacs at Brainstorm Digital, a company who take films and make them look really, really good. Here’s their behind-the-scenes editing shot from the Wolf of Wall Street. “Guys shall we actually turn this entire scene into a night time and set it in a totally different location?” Yep. Done. At least they used a real lion.
