In the brief round-up of Milan’s Furniture Fair earlier this year I completely overlooked the work of emerging Australian lighting designer Flynn Talbot. Now based in Berlin, Flynn showcased his X&Y light, allowing the user to touch and control the power of the light. “This not only creates a personal but also a very sensory experience. X&Y is not just an exploration of colour but, more importantly, it encourages people to choose their own desired lighting effect”.
Also well worth checking out is his Nothing into Something lighting blog.
