Franck Allais returns with yet another devastatingly effective series
Franck Allais is no stranger to visual trickery and his witty photographic compositions have been amusing and delighting us for some years now. Last year his perfectly-timed shots of skirt-wearing city workers managed to lift out spirits no end at a time when tensions with the financial sector threatened to sour our moods. This year he’s returned with another humorous series, this time compositing the symbols and slogans on passing commercial vehicles onto urban landscapes. The hovering brand names and suspended promises serve as a reminder that no matter where we go there’s always someone trying to communicate with us. It’s a devastatingly simple concept executed with Franck’s trademark flair.
