Illustration: Gentleman Draughtsman makes lunch-break drawing fun!

Date
5 August 2013

Stuck for things to do in your lunch break? Worried that you’re not utilising your brain enough in that hourly gap between frantic, heated email exchanges? Concerned that your creativity is being stifled as a result? Take a leaf out of Gentleman Draughtsman’s book and draw something every day at lunchtime. In his case the lunchtime sketches are informed by the albums he’s listening to as the clock strikes one – everything rom Roberta Flack to Sigur Ros – and consist of scratchy, instantly recognisable renderings of the album covers. If you do try it for yourself, we really must stress however, that the Gentleman Draughtsman IS a professional illustrator and thus capable of creating excellent images very quickly. You probably aren’t.
