It’s hard not to love the work of Géraldine Lay, proud owner of a magnificent portfolio of reportage photography. Having travelled to Paris, Scandinavia and Scotland over the past five years she has amassed a body of work that quietly explores the banality of Northern Europe from what appears to be an insider’s perspective. Despite focussing on multiple locations, her images seem universally familiar yet simultaneously unique to their setting.
