Gino Bud Hoiting’s energetic comic murals

Date
7 October 2016

Meet Dutch illustrator Gino Bub Hoiting aka GBH. Using the “analogue approach” of pen on paper (or walls), he draws clear, energetic comic-like images in black and white.

GBH has bloomed since we featured his prints on the site way back in 2014. From his studio, GBH makes commercial work — illustrations for books, posters, magazines, newspapers, banners, flyers — and personal projects — drawings, animations and installations. His clients include Generator Hostel, for which he created huge simple murals in black paint on white walls. Deceptively simple, his illustrations rely on impressively clean lines, no doubt executed with his tongue firmly in cheek.
