Graphic Design: Hand-drawn lettering and posters by Stefan Thorsteinsson

Date
15 January 2014

There’s a high probability that Stefan Thorsteinsson was one of the keener guys in his university. The thing is, when you’re studying at Yale School of Art, the nerdier you are the cooler you are. The reason we bring this up is that we first came across Stefan’s work because of the beautiful posters he made advertising lectures in and around the campus.

After perusing through the rest of his work – a healthy amount of well-considered zines, posters and pamphlets – we realised Stefan’s got the rare ability to make beautiful graphic design whilst simultaneously using things he has recently been taught about the history of the subject itself. There’s no doubt in our minds that he’s going to become a very, very successful designer now he’s freelancing in New York – form an orderly queue!
