Aside from possessing one of the most magnificent names I’ve ever had the pleasure of writing, Gunter Rambow also has one of the most striking and candid design careers. From his polemically driven posters starting out in the 1950s right up until present day, Rambow’s visual currency is one of acerbic composition, finely gauged use of text remarkably close to (if not actually) concrete poetry and powerful imagery (he is also a photographer). Here is a broad and relatively small selection of his poster work to date.
