Graphic Design: Hey Studio give Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert a fiery identity

Date
8 October 2013

We’ve grown accustomed to Barcelona-based studio Hey, producing work that maintains a well-honed aesthetic firmly rooted in modernist design traditions. It’s something we’ve come to enjoy in their output; a recognisable visual language that can be applied to any number of potential clients. But for their recent branding work for glass artist Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert they’ve strayed into slightly different territory, producing a typeface, website and selection of branded printed materials that show off more of Jeremy’s process than Hey’s aesthetic. His paper portfolio has been laser-cut to create a seared pattern across its cover – a nod to the white-hot environment in which he works – and the type-face, stencilled in its appearance, also references the craft behind Jeremy’s glass blowing.
