Within this stirring internet article (titled What Makes a Painting Good or Bad?), art lover and internet user Tootsiecat reveals the following: "What makes painting a good work of art? Plain and simple (to me anyway) something you just cannot take your eyes off of. Something that you see that strikes your soul to the very depths, that opens your eyes and your mind to the beauty of it.” The comment is theatrical but nevertheless very true, and is now the measure by which we will mark all painting. Huey Crowley’s work, thankfully, can be deemed deeply soul-striking, as well as eye- and mind-opening, and should therefore be considered very good painting.
