Illustration: We simply can't get enough of the work of Jan Buchczik

Date
12 August 2013

Jan Buchczik has come kicking and screaming into our Monday morning like the strangely beautiful lovechild of Julian Opie and Tim Lahan. His squeaky clean lines and soothing pastel palette are made brilliant by his humour, which peeks out every few pictures like a little ray of sunshine. It’s so great to see someone utilising digital tools such as Photoshop in such an honest, naive way, which suggests how much room there is for this sort of thing on the illustration scene. For now, Jan is reaping the rewards of his hard work by getting commissions from fantastic publications such as Bloomberg View, Anorak Magazine and Nippon Connection among others.
