Illustration: Luscious pencil drawings of nature's treasures by Tamsin Nagel

Date
2 January 2014

Have you ever found wet rocks and visceral oysters so alluring? Check out these beauties from RCA graduate Tamsin Nagel. Slimy rocks, slippery weeds and oozing shellfish are all captured by her in elegant pencil to form a portfolio of stunning, quiet illustrations. Gone are the days when every artist actually spent time in the blistering cold, wet outdoors, scribbling and sketching away in order to capture the true nature of, well, mother nature, but it seems this is exactly what Tamsin does. Probably the reason why her drawings are so bloody beautiful (if a bit sexual at times).
