Ingmar Spiller's psychedelic posters are a heady mix of science and colour

Scientific theory makes for some of the best visuals going. Whether it’s a vast nebula or the cerebral cortex that’s being visualised, all those flashes of light and colour excite our eyes in ways we comprehend as little as the science they seek to explain. So it’s pretty unsurprising that we’re overwhelmingly drawn to Ingmar Spiller’s promotional posters for Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, or The Long Night of Science. The undulating nebulae of chroma evoke thoughts of intergalactic travel, the complex patterns of our own irises and even the flourescent creatures of the deep. Pretty intoxicating stuff for anyone with even the slightest interest in the natural world.
