Photography: Jason Madara's shots of Alaska will make your eyes grow wide

Date
10 September 2013

Nestled at the bottom of photographer Jason Madara’s deceptively straightforward website, like Narnia tucked into the back of the wardrobe, is a secret hidey-hole containing these beauties; stunning photographs of Alaska, shot from the window of an aeroplane. These are in no way comparable to Instagram shots of clouds though – there are no flashes of orange from an Easyjet logo on a wing here, my friend, oh no. Instead, jagged mountain ranges stretch as far his lens can reach; long, gaping lakes seem cut into the ground and cloud-smattered skies cloak treacherous horizons with enough drama to make your jaw hang down and your eyes grow wide. Corrr.
