Awesome tales of a strange spirit world from Jeremie Fischer

Jeremie Fischer is an extraordinary illustrator hailing from Strasbourg in France. He’s four prolific years out of university and has filled his time since graduation with the slavish production of illustrated books – for himself, for Nowbrow and for Nyctalope.

I had planned to introduce him on the site with some new paper cutouts produced on a three month residency in Manosque, but then I rediscovered some of his graduate work and wanted to focus on that instead.

Wilkommen In Hausland is a 32-page screen-printed book that perfectly demonstrates Jeremie’s expertise in colour, composition and traditional print techniques as it chronicles a young boy’s journey through a strange spirit world. It’s hardcore proof of an awesome imagination at work not to mention enviable mastery of the print process. Plus he did this at university. What a dude!
