Paris designer Jimbo Barbu creates cool experimental posters for club nights and exhibitions

Date
3 November 2015

Paris-based Jimbo Barbu is a graphic designer and art director who works under the moniker Studio Jimbo. Working in editorial, branding and visual identity, it’s Jimbo’s poster work for various club nights, shows and typographic experiments that have caught our eye. Typically dark and moody, and emulating the music the posters advertise, Jimbo plays with composition, sultry colours with fluorescent pops, graphic imagery, and blends a mix of bold typographic choices. Sometimes subtle but still impactful, there’s a cool sophistication to Jimbo’s work and it’s great to see him adapting his style in so many different ways.
