Back in the 1970s, photography teacher Joseph Szabo struggled to capture the attention of his students due to the sheer amount of hair, cigarettes, Foghat and hormones distracting them. Fortunately for us, Szabo decided to use his camera to not only engage the youngsters, but to document their escapades for many decades, almost always focusing on teenagers or those on the cusp of adulthood. Now director David Khachatorian, with the help of Szabo, has sifted through 10,000 photographs from Joseph’s enormous back catalogue in order to make a documentary about his life and photographs.
