“I’m part of the first generation that grew up with computers,” designer Julien Simshauser writes on his website, “and a socially networked internet.” It shows in his work, too. Simshauser’s portfolio is a striking blend of standard design practice and contemporary interactive elements. Installations, to the designer-cum-coder, are just as important as silk-screen posters. In fact it doesn’t matter what form his output takes – his medium, he claims, is contemporary technology, the sort he hopes will help him push as many boundaries as possible.
