Laura Carlin

Date
9 November 2011

You’d be hard pushed to find a girl more adept at metamorphosing dirty old clay into some of the most beautiful pottery you’ve ever seen than Laura Carlin. An RCA graduate (she won two Quentin Blake awards during her time there, no big deal) Laura has been illustrating friendly and utterly heartwarming characters for years, so had produced an enormous body of work. Concentrating predominantly on bustling towns, small creatures and the forces of nature, Carlin seems to show no signs of slowing down as she tries her hand at even more media and becomes enviably more and more brilliant at each one. Long may she continue!
