Graphic Design: Leif Podhajsky injects pure psychedelia into new Horrors album

Date
8 July 2013

If, like me, you’ve never listened to The Horrors (and never really planned to do so), you’ll be utterly galled to discover that the vinyl box set for their latest album, Higher is an absolute beauty. The limited edition quadruple vinyl, triple CD release features phenomenal marbled artwork created by master of psychedelic album artwork Leif Podhajsky, tied together beautifully with design from Beggars Group head of creative Alison Fielding. The work’s so freaking good that I’m tempted to take a chance on these Horrors fellows and pick up the album anyway, just so I can lose myself in the artwork for a while. Beauty!
