Add in a healthy mix of nostalgia and I’m even more smitten, so Folkestone-based painter Leigh Mulley – take a bow. These hyper-realistic paintings of childhood staples like sweets, cakes and seaside holiday ephemera are really well-executed, but more than that they evoke a whole host of memories that make me feel warm, fuzzy and proud of my background.
