LFF: We Need To Talk About Kevin

We Need to Talk About Kevin is the cinematic adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name. Lovers of the book be reassured, it’s the kind of text-loving, respectful adaptation that you rarely see from Hollywood, so much so in fact that Shriver’s praise for it appears all over the promotional material. It’s an uneasy watch owing to both intense performances and fast-paced visuals, not to mention its length, but it’s an absolute belter of a film that had us glued to our seats, with stunning turns from Tilda Swinton and newcomer Ezra Miller.
