Tonnes of new work by the refined hand of Lotta Nieminen

Lotta Nieminen is one of those graphic designers who is able to creating a lasting impression with her work in spite of it often being incredibly subtle in its approach. In my opinion this goes above and beyond her colour palettes, though they often combine pastel shades with serene muted tones; rather her projects seem to be finished with a kind of nuanced subtlety that resonates long after you first see it.

Yesterday she announced the arrival of tonnes of new work on her site, including projects for a beauty booking app, a manicure studio and the catalogue for a contemporary design store, each bearing the same refined stamp that comes with thoroughly researched ideas, roomy layouts and quietly confident typefaces. These new projects clarify that Lotta has succeeded in creating that trickiest of beasts; a unique, consistent and incredibly nuanced style which is malleable enough to fit almost any project going, and yet which will stay with the viewer for a long while yet.
