What's On: Luis Urculo

Date
1 February 2012

JET LAG, the latest exhibition at The Popular Workshop, is a new collection of work from designer/artist/architect Luis Urculo that hangs on the edges of the conventional architecture periphery. Interested in mark-making, errors, “alternate versions of time and landscapes to create an atlas of memories, diagrams and structures,” Luis samples his own irreverent vernacular to describe new spaces and their potential narratives – translated through physical and illustrative means and media. A quick look at earlier works and exhibits, like the sculptural Covers series, only emphasises a lean towards a wider experimental language in his work.
