Lukas Haider and Georg Fasswald merge 3D art, poster design and post-punk influences for graphics series

Graphic designer Lukas Haider and 3D artist Georg Fasswald are proving that the 90s net art look is showing no means of abating with a beautiful new poster series. These form the pair’s EGYD project, described as a “mashup of unconstrained 3D elements, playful typography and energetic colour palettes.” There are nine posters in total, each with a slightly different take on sinuous forms and Tumblr-friendly palettes. The merging of Photoshop backdrops with that grey and white chequering and marbled forms, coupled with metallic potato-like splodges is playful, eye-catching and owing no small debt to the post-punk artwork of the 1980s.
